Song of My Heart by Kim Vogel Sawyer

I am a huge Kim Vogel Sawyer fan so I was really excited when this book came up for review.  Her books are always well-written and I find them hard to put down.  I was pleased to find that this book was the same!  I was hooked from page 1 and stayed up way to late to finish this book!

The romance part of the story was a little predictable, but I think that most books with romance are.  This is a heart-warming book with lovable characters.  Sadie Wagner decides to work in Goldtree, Kansas so that she can help provide for her family since her stepfather is injured.  Goldtree allows her to be able to do something she loves, which is singing.  Thad McKane comes to Goldtree to help stop bootleggers if they do exist there.  However, he doesn't want to continue doing this kind of sheriff work.  He has plans to be able to use all of this money to get trained to be a minister.  You can probably see the romance played out already, but Thad is attracted to Sadie.  However, Sadie hasn't made the wisest of choices so she in put into some circumstances that lead to actions that maker her character come into question.  Sadie now has to live with the consequences of the choices that she has made and has to answer for them.  Will that come between her and Thad or will they be able to make things work despite those choices?
